Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite Officially Postponed - Inside the Magic

Disney shared today in an update to a Disney Parks Blog post that Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite has been officially postponed. The news came on the same day that it was announced that Star Wars Celebration — scheduled for this year at the Anaheim Convention Center — was canceled.

UPDATE 6/15/20: In light of the recent cancelation of Star Wars Celebration, we are making the decision to postpone Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite event to a later date. Please visit Disneyland.com/starwarsnite for details. For more information on Star Wars Celebration, please visit starwarscelebration.com.

Currently, the Star Wars Nite official web page redirects to the Travel Information web page on the official Disneyland Resort website. You can read the message below:

The Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite will not take place as planned on August 27, 2020. We are working on rescheduling options and hope to have more to share at a later date. If you have purchased a ticket for the Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite event, you will automatically be eligible for the rescheduled event option. 

As an alternative, Guests who no longer wish to use their current Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite event ticket may call (714) 781-4636 for assistance.

This event is the second Disneyland After Dark event that has been postponed due to the pandemic. The Disneyland After Dark: Villains Nite event that was originally scheduled for April was postponed to a later date, although no official date has been scheduled or published yet. • Strike a Pose
  Let Disney PhotoPass photographers capture shots—and incredible memories—against event-themed backdrops.
• Tunes from Batuu
  Get into the Star Wars groove with music playing throughout the night!
• Themed Eats
  Gobble goodies that are out of this world—purchase event-inspired menu options at select Disneyland Park locations.
• Limited-Release Merchandise
  Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite items, while supplies last.
• After-Hours Access to Attractions
  Ride some of the park’s classic attractions throughout the event, usually with shorter wait times. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will not be available during this event due to standard required maintenance time.
• Commemorative Keepsakes
  Receive a souvenir credential and event guide as well as unlimited downloads of Disney PhotoPass photos taken during the party. (Credentials and guides are limited to one per ticketed person.)
• Inspired Attire
  Dust off those lightsabers! Dress up as your fave Star Wars characters and join the costume cavalcade.
