Walt Disney World Resort is set to begin its phased reopening on July 11, with Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom allowing Guests on that date. EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios will follow on July 15.
As Orlando vacationers decide whether or not to keep their scheduled summer theme park vacations or postpone them, it’s imperative for Disney fans to have all of the latest information regarding how the Walt Disney World experience will differ from usual.
While certain new safety protocols and other regulations will be in-place to protect both Disney Parks Cast Members and Guests and some features/experiences will currently be unavailable, other well-known Disney World services will continue operating as they normally do.
One such service is Disney’s Magical Express. WDW has updated the Disney Resort Hotel Benefits webpage to include information about Magical Express bus services upon the Disney Resort hotels and theme parks reopening. When the hotels reopen in a few weeks, Guests will be able to begin utilizing Disney’s Magical Express again.
The most current Magical Express bus service information reads:
“Complimentary airport transportation via Disney’s Magical Express service will be available for Guests arriving and departing from Orlando International Airport.
Many airlines have modified their flight schedules, so please confirm your flight information. If you plan to use Disney’s Magical Express service, contact your room reservation booking agent, or call (407) 939-1936 to make any updates to your flight information on file.”
For those who are unfamiliar with Disney’s Magical Express, the free shuttle service transports Disney World Guests directly from MCO to their Walt Disney World Resort hotel property. There are signs that help travelers navigate to the Magical Express boarding area throughout the airport.
You need a reservation with Disney’s Magical Express in order to use the airport shuttle service — read more here.
Perhaps the most crucial part of the update on the Disney World webpage is the fact that many airlines have altered flight times or canceled flights altogether. If you are planning to travel to WDW this summer, make sure your flight will be arriving at Orlando International on schedule so you can take full advantage of Disney’s Magical Express service.
Furthermore, be aware of changes at MCO.
