Disneyland Begins Emailing Guests With Upcoming Vacations Through End of July

in Disneyland Resort

It looks as though Disneyland Resort Guests are now being notified of upcoming resort hotel bookings for the dates of June 28 through July 22, 2020.

These guests are now receiving notifications that their upcoming Disneyland vacations will be impacted by the temporary closures. Guests can modify or cancel their upcoming Disney Resort hotel reservations or their Walt Disney Travel Company packages.

Disneyland Resort is asking Guests who didn’t book directly with Disney to call their Travel Professional.

The sample guest letter that is being sent out reads:

Dear Guest:

We are sorry to inform you that your upcoming visit with us will be impacted by several closures.

While there is still much uncertainty with respect to the impacts of COVID-19, the safety and well-being of our Guests and employees remain Disneyland Resort’s top priority.

Pending state and local government approvals, we currently plan to reopen Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel on July 23. The Disneyland Hotel will reopen at a later date.

Unfortunately, this means we are unable to accommodate your upcoming hotel room reservation. If you have already modified or cancelled your upcoming Disneyland Resort hotel room reservation or Walt Disney Travel Company vacation package, no further action needs to be taken. If you’re interested in modifying your existing travel dates, reservations are currently available for travel dates July 23, 2020 and later.

To provide additional flexibility, we are waiving Disney-imposed change and cancellation fees up to the date of check-in for reservations with arrivals through July 22, 2020. If you are unable to reach us before your check-in date for such time period, you will not be penalized or assessed Disney-imposed fees for cancelling your Disneyland Resort hotel room reservation or Walt Disney Travel Company vacation package after your check-in date.

Note that some package components are nonrefundable and subject to third-party operator cancellation policies. You should work directly with any third-party operators you have used to book any parts of your vacation package that were not booked through the Walt Disney Travel Company, including flights, travel protection and car rentals.

To cancel or modify your reservation, please contact the Walt Disney Travel Company at (714) 520-5050 between the hours of 8:00 AM PST and 7:00 PM PST, 7 days a week. If you are a Canada resident, please call (800) 496-6337.

If you originally booked through a Travel Professional, please reach out to them directly if you have questions or would like to reschedule.

We do anticipate heavy call volume and appreciate your patience as we work hard to respond to all inquiries.

More on Disneyland Reopening

The Disneyland Resort recently announced its plans for a phased reopening, which will begin on July 9 with a proposed reopening of its theme parks — Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure — on July 17.

Disneyland will be bringing a new reservation system to its parks when it reopens as well as announced that all ticket sales, annual pass sales, and annual pass renewals will be temporarily paused for the time being.

Disneyland Resort will continue to update their Guests as we get closer to the reopening. The company is working to accommodate all Guests as they prepare for this exciting phased reopening. Disneyland is advising Guests to continue checking their website as they plan to release more information soon.
