Wdw aps will receive an email they have 2 wks to make reservations thats it so make sure you got dates till rest of yr. They will not let you go back in though it could also all change its what disney ap told me.

And this is my problem with Disney having not giving long extensions on several different ticket types. They’ll have been closed 1/3 of the year by the time they reopen. That’s a lot of dates that weren’t available at all. Then add reduced capacity and what will end up being a daily ticket lottery. No park hopping seems also to be a change, as well as no fireworks, parades or character interactions. Disney is pushing the “some attractions may not be available” disclaimer well past any reasonable limit here. I get they are a business, but seriously…anyone who has existing tickets from the affected period (March 16, 2020 through July 16, 2020) should have their expiration extended to allow people to return when they feel safe to do so and when the parks are back to more normal operations.

We purchased 5 day park hopper passes before the Covid19 shutdown, and had to cancel our 7 day trip to Orlando. We rescheduled for July 17th but had to cancel hotel reservations again because of now requiring Park reservations. How are you supposed to schedule a week long trip and hotel stay if you don’t even know your going to be able to get in the park. You have to know that you can get into the parks for five days, and at least 4 have to be at different parks as we have never been there. I basically have $1400 worth of useless passes.

Disney tickets do not expire. Save them and they will honor them for your next trip.

    2. I would like to know if dvc members will get any consideration for park tickets. I have a fair amount of $$$ invested in a trip for 5 people and don’t know if we will be able to get into the parks. Three of our guests have ever been to Disney world so no park tickets makes this trip senseless.

The answer is no! Aps arent getting treatment so why should dvc while its unfair its safety in the #s besides its only for right now back in the day your ticket was stamped and that was that!

I understand the aggravation expressed by AP holders, paying for access any time and not getting it. But honestly, you can go at any time, again and again. Most of the comments from AP holders here are more about losing the value for the money they spent.

People who are traveling are spending much more money on that trip, in tickets, hotel, flight, time from work and school, food, etc.

There is a HUGE difference between spending $5k+ on a once-in-a-lifetime trip, or even once a year trip, and having the entire trip destroyed by not getting in vs. the relatively minor inconvenience of not being able to go whenever you get the urge.

I’m a DVC member who, like all DVC members, have paid an exorbitant amount of money for the time share, as well as the yearly association fees. The fees are well over the cost of an annual pass, and many of us are annual pass holders as well. We lost 3 months of booking availability, and during closure we still had to pay our maintenance fees with no refund given unlike passholders. There is zero benefit to being a member now. We are more than unhappy with the new reservation system. We paid for the benefits, and visit the parks multiple times a year. We, and the pass holders, should have better ability to book reservations for dining, parks, and rides.

Living in Florida and having an Annual Pass is the convenience of being able to go whenever you want (except for blockout dates) now I have to have a reservation and I am worried what if I am paying and No reservations are available? How will this be addresses? Should I renew It’s Time?!

Here is my simple issue. We are retired, live in Florida and purchase the annual pass so that when we feel like going we can. That might be early morning, afternoon or just a visit to Epcot for a summer show in the evening. The main point is we purchased the pass for the flexibility to go when we want, whatever park or parks we want at the time. We don’t decide when we are going next week or month we decide that morning or even after lunch for a walk in a park that evening.
Reserving a spot makes no sense for us and defeats the reason we bought the annual pass. Now we pay for it monthly and I appreciate the stopping of payments but that really does not address our problem. Why should I continue to pay monthly for tickets that can not be used as they were originally purchased? I would like the option to cancel my pass and it’s payments or at the least to suspend them and the associated payments until the reservation system is no longer required and we can again use the annual passes for the reasons we initially bought them.

I would be curious if anyone thinks this is an unreasonable request and who at Disney should I send it to?

    Thank you.

We made our reservations in February for August for Disneyland. Now I’m concerned that though we bought 5 days worth of tickets we won’t be able to get into the parks because the reservation s will be snatched up. Almost $9000 for a vacation and no guarantee.

    1. I get it . We have reservations with the grand Californian hotel sept 21 for 7 nights we already purchased our five day hopper pass with max pass now they’re telling us that it doesn’t matter if you have reservations in the park Hotel still may not get in …that’s not right with our plane fare we’re talking almost $15,000 for five people

I am extremely concerned as I will be flying in from Canada and had to rebook my flight and air b&b so as not to lose that money however Disney world is the only reason for this trip so if we can’t get in I will be wasting all this money for nothing!!! I understand the reason for lowered capacity but we need to be able to know when we can reserve!!!

I am worried that I have paid for annual passes for my husband and I and park hoopers for my daughter for our July res and we will not be able to get in. Are they going to refund the hopper portion if hopping isn’t allowed? Guests staying onsite should absolutely be guaranteed park entrance. Why spend all that money?

I am a DVC member and have reservations and flights for Mid-August trip to the Boardwalk. I was about to buy my annual pass when Covid shut it all down. Now, I am getting no answers on the new reservation system and don’t want to pay $4000 for my family to go if we can’t get reservations, without knowing if all attractions will be open, will all the in-park restaurants be open, and if we can park hop. Also, once you go in do you have to stay all day? Can you enter, leave, and re-enter as we usually do? And, I have to be guaranteed that if I pay $4000 I am going to get reservations. Or, Disney should make my annual pass good for 2 years not one. To many unknowns to pay the money. I am ready to go in August but the money may not be worth the trip. And we LOVE Disney.

Disney doesnt care. they are going to do what they want or think they have to. Florida will be at 100% by the time Disney opens. Disney also seems to forget, that people have lost jobs, income and money coming in just as much as they have. People payed extra for no blackout dates but now have to have a reservation. Disney should issue partial refunds to annual passholders .

  13. KG

At this point if they plan to open with limited capacity and a reservation system also some of the magic won’t be there at the moment, I am not that interested in going. As an AP holder, I just want the option to cancel my contract. I would be happy down the road to renew, but with the monthly payments (we have 4 ppl) and faced with all the restrictions it just doesn’t seem worth it.

I get that annual pass holders are upset and feel they need to get in, but please understand that you live there…you can go anytime and have obviously been there many times. For people like my little niece, who we were supposed to take the week after it shut down, this is a first time experience. We’ve spent thousands on air fare, hotels and park tickets, and have to cancel and rearrange time off and hope and pray we still get to go. So, yes, I’m sorry you have to sit a little while on the $1000 pass you bought, but let us out of staters who spent 7 times that amount for a one time trip get to take our kids please. We don’t have the luxury of going on a random weekend.
