Yea this is a obvious as disney took back hours for both june and are headed into july! Do not go by springs in open etc. Springs is tech a mall and is aloud! I am ride out and we are all doing the our best! That being said it will all open in time! I have heard aug then oct also Jan so its up in the air! I will know once i go back to my regular post until then just help out itm lets stick to my opinion about opening is and not make it seem like disney is opening…. thank you i greatly appreciate everyone at this site but i am getting tired of the have patience posts…. enough i almost left!

  2. Cast members would be only “guessing” to make this assumption. They are not aware of the discussions on-going at higher levels. BDM and Inside Sales reps for Disney are emailed Travel Agent news (along with talking points) only a few minutes prior to their release to travel agents and travel agency owners. What if scenarios are not helpful for anyone at this point.

Cms only know what they were told before they got furloughed by managers! Unless you are on the inside bc there are people still there but they only go on what they are told too but i bet they know a bit more than we do but can only share so much…. but i wouldn’t go by much more! Like i know upper managers that go in and things change daily.

Not opening for at least another year or two
Doesn’t freaking matter how successful Shanghai was.

None of these employees mentioned in this conversation important enough to get any reliable information about opening dates. And the fact they run to the blogs with the little info they don’t have proves why they are the last to know about anything. They better hope they have a job by the end of all this.

I agree with you. It appears some people want the free government holiday to continue, but how is Disney going to be able to bring back everyone after a year or two of this malarkey? By then most businesses will be gone, and the government will have to restart them under certain terms and conditions.

        “free government holiday”

I think you mean response to a global pandemic.

Some of us do not get this much time off so we are making by the best out of a bad situation and i am enjoying time w my kids! I also know alot of cms whom are doing the same and will be stuck if the park reopens wo the schools being bc many of us work while our kids are at school. It might look like bs to you but its been sweet for us why would we go back esp w it unsafe! We are also only in level 1 they can not open unless they want trouble!

My June 1-13 was canceled by WDW yesterday as well as my brother’s June 4-7. All of my dining/fastpasses through June 6 were canceled as well. They did not automatically cancel my dining/fastpasses June 7-12. If you’ve noticed, they have been canceling week by week without any official announcement and I expect that to continue until they are ready to open. Taking new reservations in July does not mean they will open in July just like their last announcement for June 1 obviously did not mean they would open in June. I waited for them to email me before rescheduling hoping they would offer some compensation or incentive. They did not, nor did they extend the free dining I had gotten when I rebooked for June after my first res was impacted (and I did ask).

That cast member was addressing someone who was wondering about her own reservation. Others with later dates had already been canceled. Clearly, her reservation was going to be canceled. That comment was not intended to be treated as a general announcement. I also noticed the date was May 13. So, even if she knew something, she wasn’t saying there was no hope for the entire month of June.

I know for sure that we had an appointment on June 24 with a Disney Wedding planner for a 2021 wedding. That appointment was canceled but Disney.
