Back in January, Frozen 2 became the highest-grossing animated movie of all time. Smashing global box offices with totals topping $1.325 billion, fans flocked to the movie theatres and later digital streaming to watch their favorite feminine duo do some serious soul-searching. It’s no surprise that Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff are beloved Disney characters that keep appearing in merchandise, fan art, and even Disneybounding.
Leslie Kay, the author of the new book, “DisneyBound: Dress Disney and Make It Fashion”, collaborated with the Disney Parks Blog to help us Frozen fans find the Arendellian perfect clothing we already own. There’s no need to buy designer clothing or save up for some expensive zipper dress. As Leslie has mentioned in her top tips for Disney bounding, finding inspiration in your own closet is the most fun (and surprising) way to awaken character!
Frozen 2 DisneyBound Looks
These four Disneybound looks, inspired by Frozen 2, are just some of the fun you can have in your own closet. Solids rule the day, but occasionally, you can have some patterned fun with a Disney character like Cheshire cat. If you’re new to Disneybounding at home, this is a great time to mix it up and try on some different outfits. These outfit boards are primo inspiration for any queen, princess, or ice master! To channel the fifth element, Elsa, keep to snowy whites and icy blues. Light-colored denim and white bases are what you should be searching for. A blue cardigan with sparkly accessories are welcome, as well as obvious sidekick details and accessories. How adorable is that Fire Spirit ring?? Show Yourself!
Anna Frozen 2 Disneybound
Princess Anna’s colors changed and darkened from the first installation in this series. Bright pinks darkened to Fuschia and a springy green dress and blue skirts transferred to black and golds. After all, Anna has a lot more responsibility in this film, and the weightier colors reflect that. I made my own Frozen 2 Anna Disneybound with a preexisting top and black jeans I had in my closet. Adding a gold leaf necklace and a crown braid completed the look.
The Disney Parks Blog and Leslie Kay recommend some of the same as you shop this fashion look in your dresser. Dark bases like a black dress with purple overtones accented with gold bring Anna’s look to center stage. Gold leaf designs and details reign supreme in this Disney Princess fashion cosplay.
Is Kristoff your favorite character? To channel this rugged ice machine, choose dark browns and long pants in black from your drawers. Gold and burnt sienna tones make nice accents and bring our what little color Kristoff’s tunic offers. Of course, reindeer accessories are always welcome. Shop a Sven stuffie or wishable to add to your shoulder for an obvious sidekick punch.
When you’re comfortably dressed in your icy fashion, flip Disney + to the now-streaming Frozen 2! Also, the Disney Parks Blog reminds us to share our Frozen Disney Bounding looks with them by using the hashtag #DisneyMagicMoments on Instagram!
