Disney Springs is officially re-opening its doors to eager guests who have been looking forward to getting back to the magic. In these unprecedented times, Disney fans have been very vocal about how much they miss their happy place. (We have too!) And we are thrilled to be here to share with you what this new normal looks like, and to hopefully help you be prepared as you plan your next visit.

Disney Springs is operating under new health and safety protocols enforced by the reopen Florida task force as well as enhanced safety measures Disney has set in place to ensure the health and safety of its guests and cast.
Several times a day during this time, a message is played on the Disney Springs loudspeakers to remind guests of health and safety protocol. But don’t worry — you can still hear the familiar sounds of the Disney Springs background music throughout your time there, too.
Disney Springs Parking
Currently, and in order to comply with the 50% guest occupancy limit to ensure proper social distancing, only two parking garages are open; the Orange garage and the Lime garage. Surface and Valet parking will not be available in these beginning phases of Disney Springs’ reopening. This morning as guests began to arrive, only the Orange garage was open at first and the Lime garage was closed, presumably until more parking was needed and for crowd control purposes.
There was a line to get in to park in the Orange garage this morning just before 10 a.m., as though guests were trying to make rope drop for the minute Disney Springs reopened.

Disney Springs Health Screenings
As we approach the entrance by the parking garage, a health screening checkpoint is set up. Guests with a temperature reading of 100.4 F or above and their parties are not allowed entry.

Face Coverings at Disney
Be sure to bring with you proper face coverings. Guests ages 3 years old and up will be required to wear them at all times, except when dining.
Of course, the newest Chairman of Disney Parks, Resorts, and Products Josh D’Amaro was at the Disney Springs reopening, and he came prepared with his face mask.

In the dispersed crowds below and even as all guests keep their distance, every person over the age of 3 is wearing a face covering.

Social Distancing at Disney Springs
Physical barriers have been installed to encourage social distancing and a new team of cast members is ready to assist and encourage guests to keep to these rules in order to have a safe visit. For example, these barriers can be found inside retail locations to help with distancing between paying customers and cast members working at each register.
You can see markers for social distancing have been placed outside restaurants, for example:

To comply with health and safety protocol, retail stores are not opening their fitting rooms at this time.
