I am an annual pass holder who never received this survey. I have recieved their others, but not this one.
I wonder if others have experienced this?
Would love to give feedback, especially having an immunocompromised child.
    Thanks for posting this article.

    1. Bryan

I’m an annual passholder as well. I haven’t received the survey yet either.

    2. Diana L Meskens

6 prefered passholders in this household, never received the request to fill out the survey, wondering why???

    3. Zach

Preferred pass holder here..i havent received a survey either.

    4. Robby

My wife and I are also annual pass holders and never received the survey. Did Universal just do a limited annual pass holder survey?

    5. Vicki Jocelyn

I have not received it either.

    6. RACHEL M QUETOT

      I haven’t received one either. Passholder for 3 years…

    7. Kimberly Morvig

I have a really hard time breathing in a mask. I wear one to only make others feel comfortable but do to breathing issues with my nose. I feel like I am smothering. I would not come if I was required to wear a mask the whole time. Sorry but this is how I feel.

    1. Chainsaw Princess

Esp in fl where it is 115° in the shade its not going to be sensible! Its right up there w temp taking! Some folks i know including myself whom had this before it was named had a bad cold which would have never showed fever! I get safety but some things are the extreme besides by the time the parks open this will be probably all a mute point or at least one could hope!

      1. sean wursta

We are scheduled to come to hard Rock sept 17th-21st. If we have to wear masks we will definitely cancel.

        1. DaddyPiranha

We weren’t planning on going back to Universal for a few more years until we saved up enough to stay at Hard Rock or one of the other ones that have Express Pass attached. If these measures are implemented, we will take your reservation.

    2. Norma pomering

I am canceling trip for june..no way would I be able to handle face mask in 80 to 90 degree weather..

      1. Jackie

By the time june rolls in bc of humidity add a 10 to anything if not more plus hurricane season… they have to lift stay in place before then or all of us whom live in an evac zone will have a bone to pick w the gov. Bc we cant stay at home and evac at same time!

    3. Bonnie Wilson

One of my Grandsons has Pulmonary Hypertension, a lung disease. Two others have asthma. We were supposed to be there the end of March, 1st of April. If you reopened we still could not come until this virus is over or there is a vaccine. Please consider extending the use of the tickets until at least the end of 2021. Thank you.

      1. Jackie

This was done in a lab in china dont hold your breathe for a vaccine thats never going to come…. H1N1 zika name it claim it… even cancer is still waiting for something more than kemo…. i think you and your lovely child should live your lives just like we all did prior… life moves on! Take it from someone whom survived cancer 3x and have 2 parents in WC that just want to live there life bc 4 walls arent exciting anymore!

  3. Amy

I would never again go to Universal or any theme park if I were required to wear a mask. No way. It’s hot and humid enough without the addition of a face mask! I really hope they don’t do this.

  4. Tara

Requiring a mask is a terrible idea! We’ll definitely be less likely to visit any park that requires masks or temperature checks.

    1. Dee Herr

well then cancel. Because everyone’s safety is more important then you not wearing a mask. It will be required. And I hope it is required. And if you do not want your temperature taken then stay home too. We do not want you getting someone else sick.

  5. Tara

Requiring masks is a terrible idea! We’ll be less likely to visit any park that requires masks or temperature checks.

  6. MrsWeasleysTwin

Yah, it would be stifling to wear a mask in FL. I think it would be nice if they provided hand sanitizer in the restaurants.

    1. Jessica Cline

If I have to wear a mask I won’t go to Universal any longer. I bring at least 12 people with me to stay at my place in Orlando every other year and they arent going to wear one either it’s extremely too hot and humid in June and July for that.

  7. Wearing a mask is a very bad idea with the florida heat in these theme parks, i think a no wait line would be a ideal and ordering food through your smartphone and alerting you when ready.

    1. Dee Herr

that is what they are telling you. Accurate numbers are even more. They just want to reopen and they do not care that people are dying in high numbers still in many places. So, sorry have to disagree with you. If it saves even one life, it is worth it. The better masks are the ones that need to be worn. also, Disney is going to an all fast pass way of living. They are going to have reservations for all stores and restaurants. Even in Disney Springs they are talking about having reservations for stores. So, Universal should do the same.[

  8. SP

If you aren’t willing to wear a mask, then your *job* is to stay home. End of story. Willfully and intentionally refusing to take precautions to keep this virus from spreading means that you will have a literal body count.

That said, I want UO to stay closed as long as possible without furloughing more employees. Comcast has a lot more money coming in from their businesses (and a good chunk less theme park employees) than Disney does. They really need to take the high road on this and take care of their people.

    1. Michelle D

My biggest problem is that neither of these options are helpful. I know there is a psychological effect at seeing others wearing masks. It makes you feel like you are protected. However, the simple fact is that you really aren’t. If you wear a mask you MAY be protecting anyone within 3 feet of you from getting SOME droplets on them from your speech. Only N95 are meant to protect you from getting the disease, and even those are not 100% effective. On the other hand they CAN cause heat stroke if used in temps over 100 degrees, and FL does get that hot. They are intended for use indoors, but few people seem to be paying attention to that.

As for the temps, just seeing a low temp does not guarantee the person is clear. You can take medicine to lower temps and COVID is notorious for being asymptomatic the first days, when you are most contagious. A high temp does not guarantee you are sick, either, since different times of the month can affect women and simply walking from your car to the front gate of the park can increase your temp.

The problem is that we all want something to protect us, but at this time, there really is not anything. If you go to the parks, you are taking a chance. If you are willing to do that, go. If you are not wiling to do that, stay home.

    2. Jonathan Lee

It’s easy for you to tell someone else to spend their money to pay others for not being able to work. They gave them paid leave for a reasonable about of time. It’s not feasible to continue paying and not be open. you wouldn’t say this garbage if it was your company

    3. Harley

The issue is there is mental and i do not need to be a psych to know it could play w peoples psyche in the wrong way… my kid has enough problems bc of his needs he is ocd try telling an ocd person after this is all over to not wear a mask or everything is safe will not be a pretty sight and my son might never see daylight my perfect example to that is my grandma she was so afraid of getting sick she forgot to live stay inside all day died bc she never left the house! Living and moving on from this must happen its just going to be one day at a time! But if you want to stay home in your mask feel free no one is telling you to go out! I just advise against it! Paranoia is deaths best friend along w heart attacks and cancer!

  9. Gary

Unfortunately, I’m not willing to go back to the parks or cruise ships until either I test positive for the antibody for the virus or there is a credible vaccine or therapeutic medicine available or the virus is basically stamped out. I would not be willing to wear a mask at the parks or have to worry about social distancing. Hand sanitizer stations are smart to have around at any time. Nobody wants to get sick with a cold, flu, or norovirus either. Overall if I have to go to any Orlando park and be paranoid, I’d rather not go. I will just do outdoor activities like hiking and biking where social distancing is the norm.

    1. Jackie

There is a vaccine for the flu at the total people whom have this equal the death #s that have been recorded over the past 2 yrs from it! People get sick daily! Heart attacks are still #1 someone i know in my prayer group just drop to the floor dead microwaving food bc a heart attack…. i survived stage 3 cancer 4x times my parents are WC bound w aliments that have no cure or vaccine! This is like ebola zika and the rest that btw have no vaccine we just got over the panic and lived same after 9/11! Life will be different but life moves on too!

      1. Krystal Cattani

I think that a mask does not need to be mandatory but encouraged. I also think that the parks should only allow 1/2 the normal capacity in. Have a paramedic screen for a fever , cough and chills because that is when a person is most contagious. Have crew members offering hand sanitizer before and after every ride , bathroom and restaurants. As for the lines in the parks have dots 6ft apart. Have the restaurant out side vs in side eating. No buffet! Shows limit to 25 people for show. Offer more shoqs

      2. Mark

I rather wear a mask then half the other things you mention crystal or stay home! But you know this will all be mute point bc disney nor universal are going to open right now! They arent going to be first… thats like religious celebrations, small businesses, small gatherings etc. Once schools or social distancing is okayed then i can see it happening… your not going to open theme parks w or wo restrictions before schools etc. I am sorry!

        1. Natasha

If that’s the case then why did dusheyboffer the free dinning plan starting June 1st?

      3. Dee Herr

oh really. THe numbers are still going up. And people are still dying. The numbers are not even accurate. They do not know how many people have died at home, etc. They are not sure exactly how many more people have it and will die. sorry, but this is not like the flu at all. It is a lot more contagious. Doctors, nurses, etc. are dying from it. So, sorry missy. You are dead wrong in saying this is just like the flu. There is a chance the minute people start going out that it gets even worse. Also, they are saying it can come back again. Also, they are saying that there may be a chance you can even get it again. So, again, sorry but this is not the flu.

  10. Rebel Porg

Folks key word here is SURVEY they do them after HHN all the time doesnt mean what they list is coming or what we liked will repeat! HHN isnt HOS! Bc universal doesnt care i bet you will be wearing masks beyond yrs while the rest of the parks will be business as always!

  11. Sonya Durham

All theme parks should operate just as normal with the exception of having sanitation stations set up at each ride prior to boarding once at the ride to actually get on and have sanitation stations set up after each ride at the end prior to going into shops, etc. Do not change the fun aspect of the 3D rides). Ensure Universal’s team disinfects every pair of glasses. Utilize mobile ordering and paying, not because of sickness but because of the convenience and ease.
Reduce admissions by 25%, not because of any sickness, but because the parks are overly congested. We were there end of Jan and end of Feb – there were alot of people there. We were a party of 4 and none of us even caught the common cold. Everyone is responsible for their own hygiene and being consciousness about it. If you have an immunity that is compromised, stay home during high times of known sicknesses. Use common sense. Enforcing masks are absurb but if workers and guests feel more comfortable with one on, them let them. Let our freedoms remain and let’s not let so much hype change our world as we know it. Change is good, but shouldn’t be dictated.

    1. Dee Herr

Well it is not going to be business as usual. Sorry, Disney is talking about having a lot less people in the parks. At first, major inside rides may not even be open. Epcot will not be open at the beginning either. Also, they are talking a full fast pass system for everything. You will have a certain area scheduled throughout the day. Also, there will be no large gatherings for parades, fireworks, etc. They are even talking about a reservation system for all of their stores, restaurants, etc. So, you will have a reserved time for anything you want to do. THey are talking about this for Disney Springs too. They are talking about screening people too. So, sorry it will not be business as usual. And sorry, it cannot be. This virus is highly contagious. The minute you reduce restrictions, it is going to take off again. You are having people of all ages die. THe numbers are still going up, up, up. Doctors, nurses, and all ages are dying from this virus. ALso, not everyone has an underlying condition. The only way it could ever get back to normal would be testing of everyone to find out if you have had it, have it now, or never had it. But even then, they are saying that people may get it again. Also, they think if things are done way too fast, a lot more people will come down with it and die. Are you that selfish. You could be a carrier and give it to tons of people and kill them. All of you need to grow up and realize that this is no joking matter. No amusement park will be able to have business as usual here. Disney is in major talks right now and a lot of what I just said will be the new norm for awhile at least. So, shut up and suck it up if you want to go to the parks. If you cannot suck it up, do not come to our state. We do not want you here to infect tons of us, including employees So, stay the frick home.

  12. Mr Bigtime

Once phase 2 rolls around let’s get it rolling again. Use common sense, wash hands, etc. Anyone that is scared, their “job” would to stay home.

  13. MomWhoIsOverQuarantine

It would be really nice if they would find a way to survey guests who have trips booked in June. We have thought it would be logical to limit the first weeks of re-opening to those guests staying in resort hotels. Regarding masks, until there’s a vaccine, they may be a reality. Regarding 3D glasses, perhaps that’s (another) merchandising avenue.

  14. The boss

If you cant wear a mask DONT GO. If you cant wear a mask to the grocey store DONT GO!. Common sense. Yes there will be a second wave. Thats why it is absurd to even cconsider opening up a theme park let alone contemplating whether or not you will go if you have to wear a mask.It is a pandemic not a cold not the flu not a heart attack.

    1. Mark

Yes but the pt is those things could kill you too and theres no stoping it! People get sick as much as people died and the survival rate is higher then any death rate how about you just stay home! And let us all live! No one cared about anything before is i think the point and drs still say its easier to catch a common cold then corona! How about better yet boss nothing reopens again and we all stay home and die from paranoia and just bc you can from that too!!!

      1. Dee Herr

shut up and you stay the frick home. because everything you just said is totally bogus and false.

      2. Mark

My parents died from the common cold how about you shut up!

  15. Harold

    Annual passholder,never received survey

  16. Natasha

People like you should be denied a ventilator when you do catch the virus!

    1. Janie

80-90% of people are surviving or not getting it so take that w what you want!

    2. CJ

And there is no reason to be vicious to someone trying to put FACTS out there that the general public refuse to read. Instead most people are listening to the media which only tells the negative side of things.

  17. Desiree Rosbeck

Have not received a survey either.

  18. Davie

Nobody is going to spend a fortune to go on holiday and abide by those precautions. People go to these parks to enjoy a wonderful experience, not a severely blemished one. I am due to be there in October and would be happy to attend as normal. However, i know that a lot of people do not feel the same way. The way i see it, the park either opens as normal or stays closed until they deem it safe to do so. Any halfway house scenario destroys the legacy these theme parks have created.

    1. Rebel Orange Bird

Exactly one goes on vacation or if local day trips to get away from reality for a while not be smacked in the face w it!

  19. Tony

Wearing mask is going to be the norm till further notice unfortunately. They should close till June and elevate the situation. A lot of the public are still going to be hesitant to go around crowds of people. It’s tough but better to be safe then sorry. We can’t afford a second wave as some people expect if we move to fast.

  20. John

We were planning on visiting for spring break and already had the requested says off approved until everything was shut down the day we were going to hit the road. I would like it open in the summer so I could count this as a graduation celebration since that was canceled too (for some reason). I already have the tickets and money ready to go

  21. Amy Vargo

5 preferred passholders over here, none received this survey. I will not renew our pass if masks or temp checks are required. Temp are not accurate & therefore my medical info is MINE.

  22. Angel

I’m so glad this was posted. We have 5 annual pass holders in our household and haven’t received a survey either. I have 3 kids whom all have immune disorders with 1 that has asthma on top of that. I agree wearing masks is the safe route but there is no way to breathe in those in Florida with the heat. Plus with sweating you’ll be touching your face all the time anyway. You can’t wear the masks on the roller coasters either.
I also don’t know how they would reopen Volcano Bay. You cant wear a mask there and with water you are always touching your face to clear out your eyes or get the hair back from your face. Plus peoples saliva in the water. Everyone’s alway on top of you on the lazy river rides.
I personally can’t go back with my kids health issues. I really hope something is done by the time Halloween Horror Nights gets here. We go multiple times every year..
That will be a tough one though because of the houses and scare zones. I don’t see how it’s going to work. The actors get in your face in the houses and in the scare zones.
    This is all just awful!!
    Stay safe everyone!!

  23. Jamie

Opening parks should not be a survey for the pass holders. It should be up to the state governor (who seems a bit crazy… opening up beaches back up!) and CDC recommendations!

  24. Elizabeth

I wish to ask a valid question. How can anybody breathe in heat and humidity with a mask on? Just a question because, I can imagine it may be difficult for some.

  25. Alex

What the f*** is wrong with you!! This while corporate make money machine does not care about its guests. Why are you enticing your paying customers to so something unsafe and so selfish just to make a buck in the back end!!! Shame on you!!

  26. Theresa

I will not wear a mask. Too hot. Should never have allowed so many people in at the same time. Too crowded and to spend over an hour in line for a one to two minute ride is crazy.

  27. Not a hoax

You don’t have to die from this. Your history of bronchitis means you might be in the 2% you claim won’t make it. Death is permanent. Two weeks is two weeks. Perspective. Get some

    1. Cindy caine

Exactly and stay home within those 2 wks like you got sick w anything else that could make one sick its common sense! Not rocket science life has to move on it has before! We still have more flu related aliments and death then this and you all went on your merry way didnt you!? Besides key word weather it be a survey or ideas for reopening its going to go in stages! No major theme park is going to reopen without testing their rides and without workers that btw were all furloughed to TBD there would have been a date on that if there was one! Again common sense making mountains for no reason!

  28. Not a hoax

You don’t have to die from this. Your history of bronchitis means you might be in the 2% you claim won’t make it. Death is permanent. Two weeks is two weeks. Perspective. Get some

    1. Mark

My parents died of the common cold very healthy people, my sister at 16 died of cancer bc they wouldnt test her she actually past out at universal how she found out, 1st daughter car crash wrong way driver in vegas, and now my youngest has breathing issues… try me i am not scared of corona! Which is now being tested by cali or ny to see if its just the flu! Bc if so we be less paranoid! Also my dr said theres 10k other deadly unvaccinated airborne illnesses other than this and a heart attack or cancer would still silently kill you quicker! Which btw flu deaths numbers keep going up too as we just watch corona coincidence i think not!

  29. Rick Grimes

When you watch the Walking Dead and wonder who is in the hoard rather than being a survivor look no further than these comments. Science doesn’t care about your opinion. This virus is real and it doesn’t discriminate. Your “choice” to not wear a mask will cause people to die. You don’t have the constitutional right to harm others. This will not last forever but death will. Get some perspective people.

    1. Dee Herr

Agree with you a 100% Rick Grimes

  30. Mark

As i say to my kid…. REALITY MAYBE LIVE IN IT ONCE IN A WHILE! You talk about science and walking dead in the same breathe and want your comment to remain valid thats the funniest thing i ever heard! Thats like HHN has been good the past few yrs and IPs make more money than orginals then why is HOS more popular!?

  31. Kim

Regarding masks, they are not effective when wet, which rules out water rides, plus it does tend to rain in the summer in Florida.

    1. Cindy Caine

Besides get extremely hot! Not a soul whose talking about wearing them lives in fl its not realistic! Also try having a conversation w someone else wearing one its not worth the effort tourists be lost at the parks! Then the park gets sued it will regardless if they open too soon we are still in lockdown not going anywhere not allowing anyone in! Besides this survive was about HHN according to the universal boards would they go to it moved or just next yr! So all the above arguing is a mute pt! Also alot of us in fl have been forewarned about a bad hurricane season imagine that mess!

  32. Of course, wear a mask at high temperatures is very inconvenient. But this will protect you and those around you. We must not forget about it!

  33. Elle

To everyone hell bent on “mask shaming” people that do not want to wear masks…remember, “My Body My Choice” is not only for abortions. My son is on the spectrum, he can not handle being in a mask while we grocery shop, let alone all day long in 100 degree weather while we are meant to be on vacation. If masks are required, we will no longer go
to Disney, SeaWorld or Universal either.

So strange how quickly Americans have forgotten that their opinions aren’t the only ones that matter. Contrary to what you have been told, we are allowed to not agree with one another. You tell us to NOT come to the parks if we don’t want to wear masks. Are we telling you to not come if you do wear one? No, we are not, I’m not. If masks are required you will get your wish. My family won’t be there. If we get our wish you are free to stay home or come and wear masks. Also, if you have a mask why do you care if I do? Aren’t you protected? You can not have it both ways.

The bottom line is that this is America and we have rights and I for one, am not willing to give them away to falsely feel protected.

And I will find stores that don’t mandate masks either. I vote with my money and my feet. Business that don’t have Gestapo like rules will be where I shop.

If the corporate owned news outlets are your only source of information, it’s easy to understand why so many people don’t know that the real numbers were inflated and that the death rate is about equal to the regular flu. I have many friends, doctors and nurses, on both sides of the country, they are absolutely being “strongly encouraged ” to mark all non violent deaths as Covid.

Our ancestors would be ashamed of how we folded so quickly as a country and never asked questions. I know it breaks my heart.

Enjoy your day fellow theme park lovers!
