I’m always trying to find the best coffee at the Disney Parks (I even started a Coffee at Disneyland Instagram!). So when I heard that some seasonal coffee beverages would be offered at this year’s Food & Wine Festival at Disney California Adventure, I knew I had to try them. Disney’s newest coffee drink is topped with purple glitter sprinkles — who wouldn’t be interested in trying it?
Currently being sold at the Golden Dreams booth at Disney California Adventure (right across from what will soon be known as Adventures Campus and near the iconic waterfall photo opp spot), the $6.50 Fig and Lavender Cold Brew is a cold brew coffee by Joffrey’s Coffee and Tea infused with fig and lavender flavors. It’s got cream and, best of all for pictures, it’s topped with purple sprinkles that are so sparkly, they remind us of the Magic Happens parade at Disneyland park!
Here’s the thing: this is definitely a delicious beverage. But it’s not because of the fig or lavender flavors. I actually couldn’t taste those at all — to me, this drink tastes like a really good and creamy cup of Joffrey’s cold brew coffee. While I know I’ll be ordering it again and again all season long, I’ll also be intrigued to know if I notice any fig or lavender flavors in the future. The drink is sweet, but nothing out of the ordinary.
California Adventure has plenty of delicious coffee drinks, but other locations at the Disneyland Resort like The Coffee House at the Disneyland Hotel or Galactic Grill in Tomorrowland at Disneyland park are also great places to grab a cup of cold brew. Still, if you’re looking for a good cup of coffee in California Adventure, give this one a try!
