I’m a huge fan of the Indy franchise and Ford’s a legend, but he needs to bow out graciously to let the character thrive. Indy works with an actor in his adventurous prime – Ford will be nearly 80 years old when this shoots. Who wants to be depressed by seeing an 80 year old Indy trying to cling to his old self?? Not I. In Crystal Skull, Indy felt old, sad and mopey enough… now add two more decades. Ugh.
Let the character be reborn, ala Bond, Batman, Sherlock Holmes, etc. Set it in the 1920-40s, where this pulp serial character belongs.
