Yes, you read that headline right. Every day remaining in January will see Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World officially opening at 7:00 a.m. EST. All reasoning points to the incredibly high demand to ride the lastest attraction, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
After previously changing this week’s schedule open the park at 7 a.m., Walt Disney World went ahead and gave Disney’s Hollywood Studios a 7 a.m. opening time for every day through January 31, 2020.
Accommodating More Guests on Rise of the Resistance
The most significant reason for the park’s opening time is to accommodate as many guests as possible on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. While guests join a virtual queue, Disney makes it clear that a boarding group does not guarantee a chance to ride. Assuming that the virtual queue will continue to fill up within minutes after opening, an earlier park opening means there will be more time to ride the highly-sought-after attraction. That means a smaller number of disappointed guests.
Unfortunately, if you are planning on trying to ride Rise of the Resistance, we still recommend you make it through the park gates before park opening. You can watch our video below for more information on how to join a boarding group for Rise of the Resistance:
