Leonhard Seppola is my ancestor and I believe the story of him and Togo has shaped the man who I am, even though the stories were only verbal, shared by my granddad who were close to him personally.
When I saw that this movie was being made, I felt a tear of pride and a big smile.
But I live in Norway. Even though I support straight to streaming, I feel bad that I can’t see my family’s legacy and enjoy it again, while also sharing the family values with my children.
Is there any way to get a hold of a copy in Norway?
Hello! Thank you so much for your comment!
As much as I would love to be able to get you and your family a copy, all I can do is suggest that you compile a case with concrete evidence that connects you with Seppola and reaching out to Disney directly requesting a copy.
I wish you the best of luck and would love to know Disney’s response.
I want to watch it again. Is a dvd coming?
I’m unable to afford every streaming service to see the variety of movies I’d like to see. To have movies only available through streaming venues is going to limit the viewing availability and ability of many people who can’t afford them. I’m told I can rent anything on YouTube but will they have captioning? This is a huge need for me and the entire hearing loss community. How else will we be able to rent these direct to streaming movies? I’m thinking every movie should be able to be rented anywhere. This whole streaming experiment has its limitations.
I was looking forward to seeing this movie on a big screen. I don’t like the idea of only having this available by streaming.. it would be an injustice to the movie itself with its amazing views to not see it as if you were there..
