The Holidays at the Walt Disney World Resort are in full swing. This past Friday, November 8th, 2019, Magic Kingdom kicked off the season with the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
Guests jingled all the way to the park to enjoy the festivities and to experience all the brand-new, party-exclusive activities. According to the Disney Parks Blog, this is what you can expect from these enhanced attractions and experiences during the party:
When you get behind the wheel on the Tomorrowland Speedway, you’ll find yourself cruising a festive freeway filled with thousands of lights and stylized décor. The crew at Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor is putting some “Ha Ha Ha” in their “Ho Ho Ho,” with a new show for everyone visiting the Monster World during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Space Mountain launches you on a trippy jaunt through the cosmos, filled with dazzling lighting and high-energy holiday tunes, and Mad Tea Party in Fantasyland becomes a wild and wacky Christmas party, as you spin your teacups to one of four new holiday combos of lights and music.
Also new this year, a brand-new firework spectacular, Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks. Similar to the firework updates we’ve seen with shows like Happily Ever After, and “Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular”, the Christmas party show is heavy on projections, but still lights up the sky with plenty of pizazz in the fireworks department.
Special events at the Walt Disney World Resort only offer a limited number of tickets available for each event date. Therefore, guests are encouraged to plan ahead and purchase their select dates in advance. However, guests who were hoping to attend the very first party might have not had the chance if they waited too long since that first party was sold out!
Currently, according to Disney’s website, the following dates are sold out:
– Friday, November 8th, 2019
– Sunday, November 24, 2019
– Sunday, December 22, 2019
Sunday, December 22 is the very last Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party of the Season. However, if you happen to be visiting the week of Christmas, you might be able to enjoy some of the party festivities, like the Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade during the day; a very special treat for guests at the parks on those select dates.
To find out if you’ll be able to enjoy these special event-exclusive experiences during Christmas week, check the park times guide for the most up-to-date and accurate information.
Be sure to browse all the special event merchandise and treats that are available exclusively during the party. All those holiday goodies look so tasty! And don’t forget to enjoy all the complimentary treats available throughout the park. You can find the location by looking for the giant inflatable candy cane. The peppermint crunch cookies are our favorite!
