Baby Yoda! Baby Yoda! Baby Yoda!
It’s about time we discuss this. Just two episodes in and Disney+’s new series Star Wars: The Mandalorian has presented us with the most adorable creature in the galaxy. And it is taking over the internet!
There’s just one thing: the real Yoda is dead. According to the Star Wars timeline, Yoda died in Return of the Jedi, years before The Mandalorian takes place. Oh, and this “baby” is 50 years old.
Ehh… Baby Yoda is catchy, and Jon Favreau didn’t give us a name yet. So the internet has named him Baby Yoda. In an episode filled with breathtaking landscapes and epic fight scenes, Baby Yoda seems to be the only takeaway from Chapter 2.
In fact, Baby Yoda has taken the internet by storm, becoming a meme in his own right.

Without giving too much away, we first meet the adorable green alien at the end of Chapter 1. The Mandalorian, Dyn Jarren, has been hired to find someone and bring it to his employer. But he did not expect that “someone” to appear as a child. Originally ordered to deliver a dead body, Jarren shows some humanity and keeps the “child” alive. We are now off on the adventure as Dyn Jarren navigates the lawlessness with a vulnerable innocent in tow. Who knows what we will discover as we spend more time with this new icon and the lone-wolf bounty hunter gets more attached.
The internet hasn’t seen this much cuteness to come out of a Disney-owned franchise since Baby Groot was introduced in the build-up for Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2. Which begs the question, will Baby Groot end up getting dethroned by the end of The Mandalorian‘s first season?
It’s impossible to say, but all we know is that this little guy is absolutely adorable, and we cannot wait to see more of him.
What do you think of Baby Yoda? Do you believe his cuteness lives up to the hype? What do you think is in store for this little guy? Let us know in the comments!
