Anyone who’s ever attended public school knows that your average everyday run of the mill classroom isn’t usually the most enchanting place to be. However, this public school teacher decided she was going to find a way to “spruce up” her classroom and to do so she looked to the most magical place that’s ever existed: Hogwarts Castle from the Harry Potter book/movie series.
Staci Lamb has been a public school teacher for many years and as part of her passion for teaching, she’s always tried to find ways to give her classrooms that extra something. However, this year she took that extra something to a whole new level.
Lambo told BuzzFeed that she first did a Hogwarts theme for her class room last year, but this year she “added to and augmented it.” Although, from the looks of the video below, it seems Lamb might have teleported right into one of the Harry Potter films as the amount of bewitching details she’s added to her room’s design is so good, it might be more enchanting than the dark arts.

Seeing all these incredible decorations, you’re probably asking yourself: Where did this woman find all of these amazing things? Well, Lamb was quite creative when finding cost-saving alternatives to major stores like your typical Michael’s craft store and Hobby Lobby. Lamb explored Facebook Marketplace, yard sales, and Goodwill.
As one might imagine with most public school’s limited budgets, Lamb’s school was not able to contribute to the wizarding world of her classroom–it was all self-funded. Additionally, Lamb took on the challenge of decorating the classroom entirely by herself, which she did about a month before school started.
Here are some more images of the amazing craft-skills and decorations Lamb utilized when creating her classroom:
