If you are a fan of both the beautiful Disney Princesses and the heroic X-Men, then you have to check out this new Marvel fan art.
The Walt Disney Company owns Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar, and now Fox, as well as all of their own original Disney films and characters, making this a goldmine for artists around the world. Marcus Williams, also known as Marcus the Visual, is an amazing artist known for some of his amazing work — but his latest one really caught our eye.
Williams decided to mashup the Disney Princesses and Marvel’s X-Men and the results are out of this world!
The team-up we thought we would never see — Cyclops, Banshee, and Merida. Merida shows off her blue and yellow costume, which is practically perfect, with bold colors and of course, the hint of red to recognize Merida’s trademark (her hair).
This mash-up has female empowerment written all over. The Omege level weather goddess herself, Storm, teams up with the beautiful painter of colorful winds, Pocahontas. You can see Williams kept Pocahontas’ trademarks on her arms, as well has her famous necklace. These two beautiful ladies would be a force to reckon with.
This trio is “composed of like-minded intellectuals.” Shuri, from Marvel’s “Black Panther,” and Belle, from Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” are two women who every female has looked up too, and as a pair, they sure make a great team. Williams tells his story of how this trio met in his caption:
“With a shared insatiable appetite for literature, Bell and Hank found that they were swift kindred spirits, often glued to multiple books within the extensive school’s library. Shuri’s first request upon arrival to the X-mansion was to visit the science quarters on campus, and was pleasantly impressed to witness the advanced alien Shi’ar technology being managed by Hank alone. The three became inseparable and often expected to know of the whereabouts of each other if seen wandering solo around campus.”
Williams has several more X-Men and Disney Princess mashups on his Instagram page, including the “X-Men Princesses,” which is the Southern crew featuring Tiana, Gambit, and Rogue and a duo of the King and Queen of cold, Iceman and Elsa.
Which one of these X-Men and Disney Princess mashups is your favorite?
