Pumpkin spice season is here and we’ve got just the thing to treat yourself to a Disney-inspired coffee the next time you visit your local Starbucks!
Often credited to @happiestteesonearth on Instagram for finding inspiration in Cinderella’s coach, the so-called “Cinderella Latte” is a Disney and pumpkin spice fan’s dream. This “secret menu” item first made its way around the internet last year, but with pumpkin spice season upon us again it’s the only time of the year to order this treat, and we suggest you take advantage of that- it’s delicious!
While the Cinderella Latte is certainly a known Starbucks order on social media, it’s not an official part of the menu, meaning if you want into Starbucks and order a “Cinderella Latte” there is a good chance the baristas will have no idea what you’re talking about. The customization options at Starbucks are seemingly endless after all, and with the internet constantly coming up with new “secret menu” items this should not come as a surprise.
Like all Starbucks drinks, there are countless ways to customize a Cinderella Latte, but the drink itself it basically your classic Pumpkin Spice Latte with White Chocolate Mocha Sauce replacing some of the Pumpkin Sauce. @happiestteesonearth recommends subbing half of the Pumpkin Sauce for White Chocolate Mocha (so a grande PSL would have two pumps of each) but you can obviously customize this based on your own taste and preferences. For more classic fall spice to the latte, go heavier on the Pumpkin, but for a sweeter option load up on the White Chocolate Mocha.
You can also apply the Cinderella Latte “recipe” to all forms of Pumpkin Spice drinks. If it doesn’t quite feel like fall where you live yet, you can order it as an iced latte, or if you’re feeling like a Frappuccino instead that would work too– just follow the same steps of swapping some Pumpkin Sauce for White Chocolate Mocha. (For a coffee-free version of the Cinderella Latte, try ordering as a Pumpkin Spice Crème Frappuccino with added White Chocolate Mocha Sauce.)
The one downside we see to the Cinderella Latte is that since it uses a PSL as a base, you’ll need to try this one while it’s in season. Thankfully pumpkin spice season seems to start earlier and earlier each year (good news for PSL lovers!) so you have plenty of time to get your Cinderella Latte cravings in before the season ends.
