Disney debuts new Rock 'N' Roller Coaster merchandise for its 20th anniversary

Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith is celebrating 20 years on Sunset Boulevard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios this year! This first and so far only inverted roller coaster at the Walt Disney World Resort opened on July 29, 1999 and has been speeding guests to a concert on the other side of Los Angeles ever since.

Known for its intense launch, where guests travel via super-stretch limos from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds, each ride is accompanied by a different Aerosmith song so guests can rock out on their way to the concert. (As an aside, if you’re an Aerosmith fan but not a roller coaster fan, Rock Around the Shop located at the ride’s exit is still worth a visit! The attraction’s gift shop has always been a guest-favorite for picking up some attraction-specific merchandise at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, offering an array of Aerosmith merchandise alongside themed Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster pieces and even musical accessories like drumsticks and guitar picks. Now for the 20th anniversary of the attraction, guests will also be able to pick up newly inspired merchandise just for the occasion!

Rock star-designed tees and tanks are among the newly debuted items celebrating the anniversary, and special dated guitar picks will also be available. And no Disney anniversary celebration of any kind would be complete without a new limited-edition, commemorative pin.

All of the pieces designed for this anniversary event are available while supplies last at Rock Around the Shop as guests exist the attraction and at Once Upon a Time, which is located on the other side of Sunset Boulevard. As of right now, it does not seem like there are plans to add these items to Shop Disney, but this may change in the future and we’ll be sure to keep you updated.
