The Disney Wonder is getting some pretty amazing upgrades, and if there was ever a time to book a Disney Cruise Line vacation, it’s now. Disney just revealed that a “Princess and the Frog”-themed lounge and reimagined teen and adult areas are coming soon to the Disney Wonder. Here’s everything we know so far.

We could hardly contain our excitement when we found out that an all-new lounge themed after “Princess and the Frog” is coming soon to the Disney Wonder. The Disney Wonder is known for being the only Disney Cruise Line ship to have Tiana’s Place, the fantastic restaurant that transports guests to the heart of New Orleans and the magic of the “Princess and the Frog” film we all know and love. Later this year, guests will be able to enjoy the French Quarter Lounge, which will be the ideal place to enjoy drinks before or after dinner at Tiana’s Place Restaurant, part of the Disney Wonder rotational dining that does not cost extra to enjoy. Even though the drinks available at French Quarter Lounge will be an extra cost, it’s definitely worth a try, as it can continue to provide you with that immersive feeling of being right in the middle of the magic of New Orleans.

Here’s how Disney describes the new French Quarter Lounge, which will come to life with the rest of the enhancements aboard the Disney Wonder at the end of September:

At the French Quarter Lounge, guests will get a touch of bayou hospitality as they enjoy live music on the gazebo stage and sip specialty drinks at an updated whimsical bar. This natural precursor to dinner at Tiana’s Place Restaurant is the perfect destination for entertainment and libations before or after dinner, while the space will come alive throughout the day with New Orleans-themed family activities, trivia and character encounters.

The jazzy atmosphere of the French Quarter Lounge, also inspired by the Disney animated feature “The Princess and the Frog,” will evoke an airy outdoor space in New Orleans, surrounded by touches of iconic architecture such as wrought-iron balconies, classic brick walls and shutter-framed windows. Decorative details including a life-size trolley car and nods to the film in the form of signs and facades on the walls add to the ambiance of the space.

Other enhancements coming to the Disney Wonder are reimagined spaces for the Vibe teen club and the Cove Café coffee shop. Vibe will become a more contemporary atmosphere for teenagers ages 14-17 aboard Disney Cruise Line. Disney describes the new space as having, “a timeless feel with an open, bright redesign, a light color palette and industrial metal work, while a new coffee bar and updated virtual reality technology add to the list of activities for teens to enjoy during their family vacation.”

Cove Café is also getting some upgrades, which we are definitely excited about. The coffee and drinks here are an extra cost to your vacation, but if you’re a fan of delicious coffee and want to enjoy your favorite beverage with ocean views, this is the place to be. The Cove Café is getting a redesign that will transform it into the look and feel of your very own local coffee shop. Signals Bar is also getting a similar, more local look, which we can’t wait to see.

It seems like the Disney Wonder truly is the ship to vacation on if you haven’t already. This ship is known for its amazing itineraries to the Mexico Riviera and the west coast of the U.S. and even summer sailings to the gorgeous Alaska frontier, among so many other wonderful trips. And now that Disney announced everything new coming soon to the Disney Wonder, we’re definitely convinced to book a trip as soon as possible. You can enjoy all of these enhancements and more aboard the Disney Wonder beginning September 30 with the four-night sailing from Vancouver to San Diego.
