A Chilean artist took everyone’s favorite Disney Princesses and re-created them into modern day visions with the help of her computer and the results are enchanting!
Fernanda Suarez is a young digital artist from Santiago who specializes in computer-based creations. Even though the up and coming graphic designer isn’t a traditional artist, as her art is digital, the results of her work feel almost life-like.
Recently, Suarez created an entire calendar inspired by some of the most iconic animated Disney characters of all time. Upon completion, the young artist was able to successfully bring these iconic heroines to the 21st century and the results are magical!
Princesses included in Suarez’s calendar include Belle, Aurora, Ariel, Rapunzel, Jasmine, Merida, Mulan, Tiana, Pocahontas, Cinderella and Sleeping beauty.
Not only do the princesses feature different features from their original Disney versions, but they also all include different accessories and props to help give them a more modern flare.
Below we can see Belle in an edgier look with her hair pulled back in a messy ponytail while sporting a denim jacket. Belle’s portrait also shows the princess taking part in her favorite pass-time, reading a book.
Princess Aurora’s portrait shows the princess with a thorny background as she rocks an off the shoulder jacket and purse with a top similar in coloring to her iconic purple dress from her original film.
From under the sea, Ariel’s new look still shows the princess with her famous red hair. However, her modern new look features a netted see-through crop-top with a purple bra underneath, which is shaped like seashells. Her bright green pants couldn’t be more fitting as they’re colored after the mermaid’s tale!
Mulan’s new look is super edgy as it shows the warrior princess with an ear full of the cutest earrings, in addition to awesome gold pendants and charm necklaces around her neck and a low-cut top featuring a mighty dragon.
For a look as cute as Snow White’s in this new artwork, one might willingly bite into a poisonous apple. This new rendering of the princess famous for her seven dwarfs shows the heroine with a fun and wavy hairstyle, an eye-catching gold necklace and ring and an adorable blue and ruffled long sleeved top featuring cut-out shoulders.
