Over-the-top, Instagram-able food seems to be all the rage at Disney Parks, and over at Downtown Disney, they’re serving up perhaps the most photogenic foods yet. Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes recently opened in Downtown Disney at Disneyland Resort, and this restaurant is both a food lover’s paradise and a Disney blogger’s dream. Take a look at all of the larger-than-life milkshakes you can get to satisfy your sugar fix on your next visit to Disneyland.
This is the first California location for Black Tap, and we’re so excited to try it. The restaurant is known for serving CrazyShakes, over-the-top milkshakes featuring a variety of dessert toppings, from lollipops and cotton candy to chocolate chip cookies and chocolate sauce. The Downtown Disney location of Black Tap offers a selection of eight different CrazyShakes, each with their own modern twist on the beloved classic milkshake.
With these desserts, what you see is actually what you get. Black Tap isn’t stingy when it comes to toppings and presentation. Every CrazyShake ordered seems to be equally over-the-top and colorful. Don’t believe us? Well, you can watch your shake being made to make sure it’s the real deal. Black Tap creates a “shake show” so guests can watch their desserts come to life and see every topping being added to their shakes. This restaurant is basically an attraction outside of the theme parks, and we can’t get enough.
If savory is more your style, not to worry. Some of the best burgers and sandwiches in town are now being served at Black Tap, and these come with a ton of delicious toppings, as well. Pro tip: go with a friend and split one of these amazing looking burgers and photo-worthy shakes. The portions for each of these items are big, but you’ll want to try everything on the menu as soon as you see this food in person!
The best part about Black Tap is that you don’t need a theme park ticket to experience all of the deliciousness this new restaurant has in store. Because it’s located in the heart of Downtown Disney, Disneyland Resort’s dining and shopping district adjacent to the theme parks, you can head over to this awesome new restaurant anytime you want, even if you don’t have a park ticket or annual pass. We love that Disney has been making moves to bring delicious food and new stores to Downtown Disney, which had previously been pretty slow for many months. We can’t wait to see what more is coming!
