Whether you are a Harry Potter fan or just familiar with the saga, if you find yourself in London’s King’s Cross station chances are good you will think about the Platform 9 3/4. And once in the station, you will not be able to miss the crowd in front of what seems to be a store located between platforms 9 and 10.
Welcome to The Harry Potter Shop at Platform 9 3/4. Located right next to the famous kart in the wall, the store provide Harry Potter merchandise from posters, postcards, keychains, necklaces, clothing, wands to books and collectibles items. You will also find some of these items at Universal parks and the Warner Studio Tour but they also have some exclusive merchandise, so it worth to take a minute to visit the store.
By the way, if you want to take your picture while pushing the kart just as if you were entering the real Platform 9/3/4: keep calm and enter the line … And sometimes, you will even see a waiting line to enter the store.
Just like in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, the store is almost always crowded and as it is pretty small, it may be difficult to really move once inside … To prevent this, you may want to visit the store in the evening, after rush hour or preferably on week days.
If you are staying 2 to 3 days in London, I recommend you to visit the store first, to see prices and then to go to the Warner Studio London Tour. You will see that some merchandise is cheaper at King’s Cross even if the Warner Studio Tour has some exclusives too.
For now, check this amazing store located in the center of London:
The store offers you the chance to purchase the photo taken outside with the legendary kart but also to create your own admission letter to Hogwarts:
Just in front of the photo corner, the wall displays admission letter replica:
The Harry Potter Shop at Platform 9 3/4 also offers collectibles only real fans will recognize:
Last tip: if you plan on going to the Warner Bros Studio tour London, skip the photo with the kart when in King’s Cross. You will be able to take the picture at the Studios without the wait.
The Harry Potter Shop at Platform 9 3/4 is located in King’s Cross Station in London. The station is right next to St Pancras International and Euston Station where you will be arriving if you come back from the Warner Studio Tour by train.
