Disney’s Hollywood Studios is definitely going to be busy once Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens on August 29, and the park is now offering another way to get away from the hustle and bustle for a bit. To be guaranteed a place to sit, you can now make dinner reservations at ABC Commissary for bookings starting June 2, 2019.
ABC Commissary offers quick-service lunch and fast-casual dinner in an Art Deco-inspired setting at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. “Over the next few months, the restaurant will be undergoing some exciting enhancements as part of the ongoing transformation of Disney’s Hollywood Studios,” says Disney. “Some of these enhancements include self-serve beverage stations, new Art-Deco-inspired elements and furnishings, and a savory new Pot Roast served over mashed potatoes and root vegetables with beef gravy and onion straws.”
Other items on the menu include the following:
- Vegan Burger, a plant-based burger topped with vegan mayonnaise-ketchup blend, spicy Sriracha mustard and griddled balsamic glazed onions and bell peppers
- BBQ Rib Platter with tender dry-rubbed slow-smoked pork ribs tossed in a sweet BBQ sauce served with coleslaw, pickles, and steak fries
- Shrimp Teriyaki Bowl dinner entrée with stir-fried shrimp, Napa cabbage, snap peas, red peppers, carrots, onions, edamame, shiitake mushrooms, and broccoli tossed in a house-made teriyaki sauce and served over brown rice
Dinner starts daily at 4:00 PM. Currently, guests place an order at one of the cash registers, pick up a pager, and look for a place to sit. Food is delivered to your table when it’s ready. With the new dinner reservation system, you’ll place orders in the same way but you’ll be guaranteed a table. That’s good news for those who want to plan a stress-free break during a busy day at the park but don’t want a table-service dining experience.
