Winter’s not over yet, and this season still has plenty of celebrations in store at theme parks worldwide. We’ve shared how Universal is celebrating Mardi Gras this year, and now Disney is joining in on the Carnevale fun. Beginning this month, you can celebrate Mardi Gras and Carnevale at Disney Springs at Walt Disney World.
Mardi Gras and Carnevale are filled with delicious food every year. The celebration traditionally takes place throughout Bourbon Street in New Orleans, but we are lucky enough to get to taste all the amazing New Orleans-inspired dishes at multiple Disney Springs dining locations this year.
House of Blues Restaurant & Bar will be serving up New Orleans classics like the event-exclusive Steak Po’Boy, Jambalaya, Gumbo, Bourbon Bread Pudding. You can’t go wrong with any of these dishes. All of these dishes are available at the restaurant, but if you can’t get a table or reservation, not to worry. The Smokehouse quick-service window at House of Blues will be serving all of these dishes and more throughout the Mardi Gras celebrations, so everyone can have a chance to try these awesome foods. Everything at House of Blues is available now through March 5, so stop by before the event is over.
Additionally, from March 1 through 5, you can head over to House of Blues for live music, special drinks, and prizes just outside the restaurant in the courtyard. There’s fun for the whole family, so don’t miss out.
Maria and Enzo’s Ristorante is celebrating Carnevale again this year! Carnevale is the Italian festival in which family and friends gather together to eat and celebrate. We highly recommend getting a reservation before March 5 in order to ensure your table for the events, because it’s predicted to be crowded. The restaurant welcomes guests to enjoy live themed entertainment, exclusive drinks, and even a prix fixe “Feast of Carnevale.” This is a must-do event for every Italian food lover (and anyone who wants to have an awesome time at Carnevale). Read more about Carnevale at Maria and Enzo’s Ristorante here.
Also, though not available exclusively at the event, we always recommend heading over to Port Orleans French Quarter for some New Orleans favorite dishes available year round. Get your Jambalaya, Mickey beignets, and Po’Boys at this fan-favorite Disney resort even if you can’t make it to the Mardi Gras celebrations this season.
If you’re not making your own Carnevale mask at home, you can always pick up some accessories at Disney Springs. We love anything themed to Mardi Gras, and if you’re planning on attending this year’s events at Disney Springs, you’ve got to come decked out in your best Mardi Gras garb. These beautiful Mardi Gras ears are available at World of Disney at Disney Springs and they’re sure to be a crowd pleaser.
Local to Disneyland? For your own New Orleans fix on the West Coast, head over to New Orleans Square in Disneyland park. You’re sure to have a good time (and maybe even run into your favorite characters from “The Princess and the Frog”)!
