“The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell,” premiering mid-October, may just be the strangest cooking drama ever created. In addition to McConnell’s magnificently macabre munchies, the new Netflix series will feature a trio of Muppet-like monsters fiendishly fabricated by Henson Alternative (part of the Jim Henson Company).
“The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell” has all the makings of a marvelously mischievous munchie making, dark décor designing delight. Combining the creepy creative talents of social media star Christine McConnell with a mummified talking cat, pink bow-topped raccoon and large hairy beast in a comedy about cooking is the perfect pairing for Halloween tricks and treats.
Cooking shows, even the Halloween dedicated specials are fun. However, Netflix nudges the genre into fearsome fun with its “offbeat, campy, irreverent quirky, absurd” new series. “The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell” premieres October 12th, on the internet-based subscription service.

Co-starring with McConnell, three new Henson Alternative crafted creatures share the spooky spotlight. Two puppet powered personalities, a small mummified talking cat and a scruffy raccoon with a fondness for pink hair bows, add a touch of fantasy. There’s also a tall brown furry breast along with what appears to be a giant fridge friendly octopus. All bring Muppet-style magic the new comedy.
