A new 6,500-space parking structure is currently under construction at Disneyland Resort, and today Disney revealed the structure also includes a new pedestrian bridge over Magic Way.

Announced last year, the parking structure is being built on the current Pinocchio surface parking lot next to Mickey & Friends. This new pedestrian bridge will connect guests from the parking structure to the rest of Disneyland Resort, with the option of walking through Downtown Disney District to the parks’ Main Entrance. By eliminating the need to cross the street at Disneyland Drive and Magic Way, the new bridge enhances guest safety and creates better traffic circulation.

The new parking structure, which is scheduled to be complete next year, makes it easier for guests to park and make their way to the theme parks. The structure offers a 60 percent increase in the number of access lanes and adds parking capacity on the west side of the resort.

Also, the tram boarding area will be reconfigured to enhance the overall transportation experience for those who park at the new structure and Mickey & Friends.
