Guests make their way through the entrance gates toward Tokyo Disneyland’s iconic pink castle, its towers gleaming under the sun, ready to immerse themselves in Disney magic and step into Beauty and the Beast’s enchanted world.

Tokyo Disneyland broke ground on some exciting new park projects in April, and now they’ve shared a first look at what’s happening behind the scenes.

New experiences are being added to the park through 2020, including a “Beauty and the Beast”-inspired area, a “Big Hero 6” attraction for Tomorrowland, and a Minnie Mouse design studio for Toontown. This project is the park’s largest investment since Tokyo DisneySea opened in 2001.

Disney shared the following photo, which was taken from the monorail and shows the area being transformed.

Cinderella Castle rises majestically at Tokyo Disneyland, framed by two prominent construction cranes against a clear blue sky. Just steps away, the immersive Beauty and the Beast area beckons, and you might even catch a glimpse of Minnie Mouse greeting guests nearby!.
