5. Tropicana Hotel & Casino, Atlantic City New Jersey
A thriller of an event awaits those who happened to haunt the Tropicana Hotel and Casino on Halloween weekend. Their Thrills on the Boardwalk event starts at 7:30 pm and features dancers performing to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” at 8. Other evening enchantments include a costume contest and special spooky spirits for weekend at the casino’s bars.
Boogie Nights, a 70s and 80s dance club, treats travelers to three different themed costume contests Halloween weekend. On Thursday 10/26, heroes haunt for a Superhero themed thrill; Friday’s frights asks spooks (guests) to materialize for a dead celebrity celebration (arrive as a favorite 70s or 80s icon). Saturday night’s Halloween Bash brings a $1000 grand prize in the costume contest for best overall. Other categories include best group, scariest, sexiest, and best 70’s/80s.
