Get ready to meet George Jetson all over again.
ABC has ordered a live-action reboot of the show, Entertainment Weekly confirms. Based on the classic Hanna-Barbera characters, the muti-cam sitcom will be set 100 years in the future.
The pilot comes from writer Gary Janetti (Family Guy, Will & Grace), who will executive produce with Oscar-winning director Robert Zemeckis (Back to the Future, Forrest Gump), Jack Rapke, and co-executive producer Jackie Levine.
The original “Jetsons” series aired on ABC from 1962 – 1963.
No casting announcements for the new series have been made at this time.
