FIRST LOOK: New Ataribox combines classic Atari gaming style with sleek modern design

Atari announced their first home gaming console in more than 20 years last month, and now we have a look at the new Ataribox.

Inspired by classic Atari design elements, the console features wood, ribbed lines, and a raised back. The front panel can either be wood or glass and includes a front-facing logo, indicator lights, and HDMI, 4xUSB, and SD ports.

With the addition of ports, Atari can offer modern gaming content in addition to their classics.

It’s notable that there’s no slot for an Atari cartridge, so don’t expect these to make a comeback with the new Ataribox.

Pricing and a release date have not been announced, but Atari has promised to share details step-by-step as they become available.
