Avast there! In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Disney’s iconic Pirates of the Caribbean attractions, Imagineers and Disney Legends gathered on stage yesterday at the D23 Expo 2017 to dive deep into the history of this classic ride.

On hand were Marty Sklar, Orlando Ferrante, Tony Baxter, Kim Irvine, and Nancy Seruto to get nostalgic, telling interesting and sometimes funny stories about how the attraction came to be. And when the group oh-so-briefly touched on the notion of the upcoming changes to the bride auction scene, they were met with with boos from the crowd of Disney fans. (Change is hard.)
