It’s the “Biggest Summer Ever” at SeaWorld San Diego, where several new attractions have been unveiled to guests in grand fashion. This week the park’s all-new Ocean Explorer area made its debut, combining aquariums, rides, and digital technologies.

The Ocean Explorer realm’s main attraction is Submarine Quest, which “enables riders to guide their mission of oceanic exploration.” Guests coast through an imaginary deep sea on this interactive dark ride that weaves through buildings and exterior areas, all the while encountering remarkable and mysterious sea creatures.

As if that weren’t enough, SeaWorld San Diego also premiered its wholly-overhauled Orca Encounter show this week, highlighting the park’s majestic killer whales in an intriguing documentary-style format.
