Celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day in Disney parks with these mouth-watering desserts

in Disney, Theme Parks, Walt Disney World

If you’re looking for an excuse to have dessert while visiting Walt Disney World or Disneyland today, you’re in luck — May 15 is National Chocolate Chip Day. There’s no better place to get your fill of sweet treats, and we’ve rounded up a few of our favorites featuring chocolate chips below.

KITCHEN SINK SUNDAE at Beaches and Cream

This sundae is legendary and not for the faint of heart. Featuring scoops of vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, mint chocolate chip, and coffee ice cream, the dessert is topped with heaps of whipped cream, hot fudge, and a helping of chocolate chips.

A smaller, more manageable version of the Kitchen Sink sundae is available at Plaza Ice Cream Parlor in Walt Disney World and Clarabelle’s Hand-Scooped Ice Cream in Disneyland.

CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE at Grand Floridian Resort

Different versions of the classic chocolate chip cookie are available throughout the parks, but the Grand Floridian has got a good one. You can try baking them yourself at home too, with this recipe from the resort’s Chef Erich.

This delightful cookies & cream donut was spotted at a cappuccino cart next to the entrance to Frontierland.

Take chocolate chip cookies to the next level by adding a helping of delicious gelato. This ice cream sandwich is available at Gelati in the Italy Pavilion at Epcot.

NOB HILL CHILL SHAKE at Ghiardelli Ice Cream & Chocolate Shop

You can’t go wrong with two scoops of vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, and Ghirardelli Mini Semisweet Chocolate Chips. This tasty shake is available at Ghirardelli in Disney World and Disneyland.
