Gizmoduck is back for the return of “DuckTales” to TV with another big star added to the cast.

Fresh off “Moana,” the Hamilton-famous actor, playwright, and composer Lin-Manuel Miranda is set to lend his voice of the famous Duckburg do-gooder!

Gizmoduck, Donald Duck in his classic shirt, and Scrooge McDuck in a suit each star in their own vibrant DuckTales-inspired cartoon frames, evoking the magic of a Disney theme park experience.

This time around, Gizmoduck’s alter ego will be called Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera, giving the classic character an Hispanic spin in honor of his voice star. In the new story, he’ll be an “intern” working with Gyro Gearloose.

On giving Gizmoduck a new Latin heritage, co-producer and story editor Francisco Angones told D23: “Growing up as a Cuban-American comics enthusiast, I was always hungry for a Latino hero to call my own. In developing the new series, Matt and I leapt at the opportunity to adapt DuckTales’ marquee hero into a young scientist character with Latin-inspired roots.”

“DuckTales” debuts later this summer on Disney XD.
