The latest film in the “Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, “Dead Men Tell No Tales,” will have its world premiere at Shanghai Disneyland on Thursday, May 11. This marks the first time that a Hollywood movie has premiered on Mainland China.

Stars of the film including Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Geoffrey Rush, Javier Bardem, Brenton Thwaites, directors Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg, and producer Jerry Bruckheimer are all expected to attend the gala event. After walking the red carpet in Disneytown, the movie will be screened in the Walt Disney Grand Theatre.

The premiere location is fitting, as Shanghai Disneyland is home to the first pirate-themed Disney park, Treasure Cove.
