Volcano Bay‘s opening date is just a couple months away at this point.
As we run this last leg of the race, the attractions have slid into testing mode with running water visible through the translucent tubing and rafts brought up to the platforms for runs.
The park will become Universal Orlando Resort’s third gate with its tropical-themed water world, offering water coasters, water slides, lazy rivers, wave pools, raft rides, sandy beaches and interactive play areas.
Most notably, Volcano Bay will offer guests a more convenient way to wait (or shall we say “not wait”) in lines with the new Tapu Tapu wearables. The band will enable visitors to select specific times to experience the water attractions and notify them when that time has arrived.
It all comes together on May 25 when they gates open to the public.
