Ahoy mateys! For a safe voyage, remember to stay seated with your hands, arms, feet, and legs inside the boat—and watch your children. And remember, no flash pictures! Now off with ya!

For a full fifty years, guests have been setting sail on Walt Disney’s classic boat ride attraction Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland, and this weekend the park held a celebration in honor of the occasion, complete with live performances, exclusive merchandise, and even that notorious Captain Jack Sparrow roaming around New Orleans Square.

The Pirates of the Caribbean ride itself reopened this Thursday after a lengthy refurbishment period. Be sure to visit Disneyland’s official website for more information.
