Star Wars is no stranger to funny music. From “Weird Al” Yankovic’s famous parodies “Yoda” and “The Saga Begins” to “Star Wars Cantina” by Mark Jonathan Davis, and of course the raucous “Fett’s Vette” by nerd-core rapper MC Chris (NSFW on that last one).

Now “Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi” director Rian Johnson has teamed up with indie-folk band The Mountain Goats to bring fans yet another tongue-firmly-in-cheek take on a galaxy far, far, away.

For (slightly) more info on the hilarious song, entitled “The Ultimate Jedi Who Wastes All the Other Jedi and Eats Their Bones”, here’s Johnson’s tweet from this morning:

I dunno about you, but the song certainly brings a tear to my eye… not to mention makes me even more excited for “Star Wars: The Last Jedi”, due in theaters on December 15th.
