Upon stepping onto the D23 Expo 2015 show floor, it’s hard to miss the Walt Disney Archives’ newest exhibit, simply titled “Disneyland: The Exhibit.”
It’s one of the largest displays at the fan event this year (12,000 square feet!), celebrating the 60th anniversary of Disneyland with more than 300 pieces from the park’s history.
It opened with an official ribbon cutting ceremony featuring Sorcerer Mickey Mouse, D23 head Adam Sanderson, and Walt Disney Archives head Becky Cline:

Displays within the exhibit cover all the themed lands from the park, including attraction vehicles, costumes, props, and even Audio-Animatronics figures.
On hand for the preview night was Marty Sklar, Walt Disney’s speechwriter and right hand man for many years – the only man to attend all Disney theme park openings worldwide.

The Abominable Snowman from the Matterhorn Bobsleds, a prototype of an Alice in Wonderland ride vehicle, and even ticket No. 1, purchased by Roy O. Disney on July 18, 1955 are among the most interesting.
