I don’t see anything wrong with them adding a themed lounge. I’m excited for this & would much rather the space be used to bring back the hanger feel that was lost some time back in another era than for another overpriced dinner stop.
I thought Reggie was the name of Jock’s pet snake–I hate snakes, Jock! I hate ’em!
Seriously, it’s a good equivalent of Trader Sam’s lounge, and doesn’t clash with the Springs atmosphere. Not to mention getting a few darn people away from T-Rex on a Saturday night.
Pretty cool concept, and just obscure enough that many folks may walk in an not realize the Indiana Jones connection. (Seriously, Jack was only in first the movie, in what, 7 or 8 shots, and we never learned his last name!)
Will there be any interactive elements, I wonder? Perhaps Jock kept a few of Indy’s artifacts for guests to fiddle with?
BTW, the actor who played Jock was still an active pilot in Hawaii as of the filming of the first Jurassic Park (he encountered Spielberg’s crew there). I wonder if he’s still alive and can make an appearance at the grand opening?
The actor who played Jock the pilot briefly at the beginning of Raider’s was producer, Frank Marshall. He also played the pilot that shot at Indy in the German bomber while he (Indy) fought the big mechanic later in the film. He’s married to Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy.

I’d rather them add an Indiana Jones ride to Disney Studios. But that’s just me.

I stand corrected, it was not Frank Marshall who played Jock. I believe you’re correct, Since1976.
