Just one day after SeaWorld Orlando announced their upcoming Mako hyper coaster, sister park Busch Gardens Tampa announces Cobra’s Curse, family-friendly spinning coaster to also open in 2016. The spin coaster is the only one of its kind in the world and will take you on a whirlwind adventure over the park’s Serengeti Plain.

The ride reaches more than 70 feet in the air via a vertical lift. After ascending on the vertical lift, just like an elevator, riders will come face-to-face with an 80-foot snake icon and trek over the park’s Serengeti Plain. Cobra’s Curse will have a top speed of 40 mph and lots of static and spinning ride time. The ride will take you on a thrilling experience that will last 3.5 minutes and will also have a themed queue.

The coaster will have a 42″ height minimum.

The new coaster will be located in the Egypt area of Busch Gardens Tampa. Old Tut’s Tomb will be used as an air conditioned queue where you will discover the mysteries of an Egyptian archeological excavation.

This spin coaster is the only one of its kind in the world, featuring a vertical lift and taking riders on a whirlwind adventure of exciting explorations.
