Kicking off this year’s Star Wars Celebration event down the street from Disneyland in Anahiem, California was an exciting panel discussion with “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” director J.J. Abrams and producer Kathleen Kennedy.
Fans in attendance were thrilled to be the first to see the new trailer for Episode VII, which also debuted online along with a live stream of the panel. Watch it below.
The new trailer debuted at the end of the panel, after stars from the film – new and veteran – came out on stage for a group photo and to answer a few questions.
The trailer certainly features some familiar faces and voices, including a notable appearance by Han Solo at the very end. J.J. Abrams called this the “second teaser” for the film, which means there is much more to come.
“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” soars into theaters on December 18, 2015.
