Dapper Day at Magic Kingdom brings back glamour and old-school charm to the Park

in Disney, Theme Parks, Walt Disney World

You enter the Magic Kingdom and suddenly you are surrounded by bow ties, parasols, gloves and beautiful dresses and dashing suits. Welcome to Dapper Day at the Disney Parks! Started in 2011 the Dapper Day event celebrates guests putting on their “Sunday best” for a fun romp around the parks. Held twice a year both at Disneyland and Walt Disney World the event have grown immensely and the parks are flooded on Dapper Day with beautifully dressed guests. So what does it mean to dress Dapper? Here is the description from the official Dapper Day website:

DAPPER DAY Events celebrate the tradition of “stepping out in style” and are meant to showcase you at your best. We are not period-specific. All manner of elegant attire is encouraged from vintage-inspired classics to chic contemporary looks.

Everyone and anyone can join in on the fun and even if you don’t want to dress up I highly encourage you to visit the Disney Parks during Dapper Day just to have a great time people watching.

This past Saturday, March 14, was the Spring 2015 event at the Magic Kingdom at Disney World. Below you will find just a small sampling of Dapper Day guests.

Walt Disney World Dapper Day Spring 2015 Disney Bound Meet-Up

Increasing in popularity for the Dapper Day event are people dressing up with a mix of both “Dapper Day” and “Disney Bound“. There was even a huge group meetup of Disney Bounders which was a delight to see.
