Mayhem at the Mansion app brings interactivity to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World

The ghosts of The Haunted Mansion are loose at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Disney wants attendees to help round them up.

First discovered by Stitch Kingdom and not yet officially announced, an augmented reality called Mayhem at the Mansion has been released for free via the iTunes store for use during the event.

Once downloaded, Mickey Mouse introduces the experience.

The app can be used to “capture” the three Hitchhiking Ghosts in the Magic Kingdom during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party by finding them (using the event map) and “scanning” them using a phone’s camera. From there, guests are to “return” them to the Haunted Mansion.
