Happy 59th Birthday Disneyland!!! I can not wait to help celebrate your 60th next year. I have been going to Disney land since I was born…my parents met there on the Canoe Ride and here I am 57 years old and sadly both my parents are in Heaven…but I did have a stone put in their honor there between Disneyland and California Adventure. I also have one for my son and I too. Disney is my happy place….I live with MS and MD and in pain 24/7…but going there I do not think of my pain…I find happiness everywhere I go at Disneyland.

I was there on the second day of the opening. I was not born yet but my mom and dad were. My dad had his tonsils taken out the day before and ate a tamale and had to go home. How I love this place. Mr. Disney has no idea of the joy he has brought to so many.
I have been to Disneyland several times. When I was young with my parents and sister, when I was a teen with my parents and boyfriend/future husband, but my favorite two trips to Disneyland were in 2005 with our daughters when they were still young, 8, 13, and 15…this was the best family vacation we had taken…and this past year, October 2013 when my husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary by taking our children and grandchildren to Disneyland. What wonderful memories…we plan to take many, many more family trips to Disneyland!

My wish for Disneylands 60th anniversary, and the year 2015 to be the most magical year to date. we were at the 50th anniversary and we had a blast, and we are planning to go next summer for the 60th anniversary. It should be a bigger blast because 60 years is a long time. Disneyland is the only place to go for vacation. This time we are taking my grand daughter would will be 2 and it will be her first time so we are hoping that she will have a good time.
I was there for the 50th. Still have my 50th anniversary sweatshirt and Golden Anniversary train. I was actually at Disneyland BEFORE it opened. (I’m dating myself here). When I was about 6 years old, my mother took my brother, sister and me to where the construction was going on. I remember seeing a flatbed truck drive by with 2 hippos on the back … obviously destined for a lifetime of swimming on the jungle cruise. Will be there next year.
