I think a lot of this looks instantly dated. It has a very 2007 look to it. Like 2007 Crate & Barrel.

      Agree!

It looks quite nice, but I will be glad when this minimalist/modern hotel decorating trend is over.

Would you please tell us if the beds in the guestrooms are double, queen, or king?

    1. B Original

Guest rooms either have 1 king bed or 2 queen. And each room has a queen sofa sleeper.

And although the design may be a minimalist style, the feel is very clean and comfortable. And there is nothing minimal about big flat screen HD TVs in every room, freeB WIFI and the service that comes from a smaller brand trying to stand out from the sea of competitors in the area. If you want to stay at a hotel that looks just like the ones in every other city, then choose the Hilton or Hampton Inn. But if you want something different, give B a chance. I think you will be surprised how the little touches make the biggest impressions.

Oh yeah because no where else has Digital flat screens, shut up.

I can’t be the only one that hears the name “B Resort” and instantly think it’s an inferior hotel. Choice A was to expensive or all booked up so let’s go to our plan B. They couldn’t think of anything better?

This looks horrible! The look before had class and style, this is just white walls and looks like everything else! >:(

I think it looks wonderful! My family will love the mascot, especially what he stands for. The family guest rooms look great. …No pull out sofa our roll away bed,I love the bunks!! I can’t wait to see the spa, and finishing touches around the pool. I get the feel of staying at a Disney resort (although not owned by Disney) and not being on a family roadtrip. Booking our stay soon!!

Yeah, it looks great if you enjoy barren walls and ugly furniture from 2007.

Dallas, you’re an unsophisticated twit. I’m sure your 80’s Formica cabinets are all the rage back home.

looks very very nice but one thing would stop me from booking this hotel….a free breakfast!!…why do most hotels in orlando think that guests dont want to eat breakfast?

    1. maybe they think almost all don’t eat but not all so maybe they consider some options.

  7. We are looking at your hotel now and about to book – can you tell me is there a fridge in the room? and Kettle ?
Is there space for 2 adults and 3 kids (kids aged 16, 13 and 9) ? is it spacious enough for us?

Would there “b” any offers? we are looking at the Deluxe Queen room?

Is there any other fees / resort fess that get added on to the booking?

We love the photos and the style of the hotel – regardless of what others have said above we all really like the look of the hotel.

    many thanks

    Ian

Try booking on hotel’s website using promo code “EXPERIENCE” – I got 2 nights in August for total of $265 ($99 a night plus tax/resort fee). Seems like a great deal. Plus you can cancel w no fee up to 3 days prior to reservation date.

Not impressed with the decor. Very simple in a resort area were simple simply won’t do. You have the themed Disney Resorts and then you have B Simple. The pool area also looks dated and worn. I would also bet that they don’t keep the white walls looking fresh after being open for 6 months.

    1. Chris

I think you are confusing simple for refined and minimalist.

The pictures don’t do it justice people. It’s a lot nicer in person. It’s very “W”esque from the style features but definitely has a more resort feel. This property should do well in a very saturated market of major hotels.

  10. Wonderful blog! I found it while searching on Yahoo News. Do you
have any suggestions on how to get listed in Yahoo News?

I’ve been trying for a while but I never seem to get there!

    Thank you

I just stayed at this hotel last weekend. They DID offer a free breakfast to us and even though the Poolside Bar was not completed, they still took our lunch order and delivered it to our lounge chair by the pool. AWESOME. The staff were the friendliest I have ever seen. The decor is not cold or dated, in my opinion. The lobby area is very white marble with touches of color, but come on, folks, how much time do you spend in the lobby?? The guest room was fabulous! Lot of space, beautiful decor, unique plushy purple ottomans for bedside gadgets (like my husbands CPAP machine!) or a place to set your room service tray. The bathrooms were phenomenal! The shower was roomy with plexiglas walls and door and a wonderful rain-style shower head! Plush towels and linens, the beds were one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on. Although the pool had no flashy kiddie area, it was clean and the water felt wonderful. The lounge chairs are large and there are plenty of them with umbrellas for when the sun gets just too hot! There are rooms just off the pool area, for no increase in price, with private terraces and your own private gate to the pool. So, all the haters…go ahead and hate. Just leaves more room in the pool for me!! We will definitely be back!

I looked forward to staying at The Royal Plaza on every vist to WDW. This new resort certainly breaks away from tradition. The appearance is very much that of a spa, not a vaction home. I think it all rests on what people want to come back to after a long day at the parks. Just isn’t my taste.

Love the fresh, updated look with current, contemporary styling. Everything about this, right down to the color scheme, shower, and retro silver phone is really appealing. I’m so glad to have an option that stands out from the boring, cookie cutter hotels. This is a perfect for a weekend without the kids, and I will be booking as soon as my husband figures out dates. It’s great to be driving distance to Orlando! Throw out your Pottery Barn 2007 and watch some HGTV and catch up. This is on trend!

  14. Looks great to me. Love that they use Aveda products in the rooms. A+ in my book.
