The Azalea Trail Maids are a group of 50 young ladies all who are seniors in the Mobile, Alabama area high schools. The Maids serve as ambassadors for Mobile for one year. The selection process is arduous. Each Maid is responsible for having her own dress designed and sewn according to Azalea Trail guidelines. The Mobile Jaycees Civic Organization is the sponsor for Azalea Trail. The Young Women’s Civic Club of Mobile serve as advisers. Both the Jaycees and Young Women’s Civic Club serve as chaperones for the Maids when they travel. To serve as an Azalea Trail Maid is an honor for the young ladies who are chosen. The Azalea Trail Maids have represented Mobile in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade, the Chicago Thanksgiving Parade, the Atlanta Fourth of July Parade, the Senior Bowl, and the Go Daddy Bowl. The Maids also make numerous appearances at civic and charity events in and around Mobile. The Azalea Trail Maid program is a longstanding tradition in Mobile, Alabama of which we are proud. Therefore, the credit is due to Mobile!! To this year’s Azalea Trail Maids, thank you for representing Mobile with such grace!

Disney did make an announcement before each parade of the weekend. They were recognized as the “Azalea Trail Maids from Mobile, AL”
