Love everything except the font and design of the end banner. It looks a little too 80’s for such a modern parade.

There’s no such thing as “too 80’s”!

        Preach!

So Aurora WAS going to be featured in the Sleeping Beauty unit. My sister, who was very distressed when Aurora did not appear in the parade, suggested that very scenario. She’s going to be so upset when she finds out her favorite Disney character was so close to being in the parade.

Anyways, I just love how this parade broke so many rules. For one thing, Pixar and Disney characters rarely appear in the same parade, but that didn’t stop them from including Merida in the same parade as Cinderella. Also, seeing characters from different properties on a single float usually never happens except in the princess floats, yet we saw Dumbo and Pinocchio both on the Monstro float.

She was also going to be on the princess float until Frozen bumped her.

    2. Re: different properties being on a single float. Did you never see CDCT? 😉 How about Pinocchio and Snow sharing a float? Peter Pan and Alice? Aladdin and Mary Poppins? Floats are shared very commonly.

In all the parades I’ve seen, the general rule is one float represents one film. Exceptions exist, of course, and the old Magic Kingdom parade was among them.

Your sister sounds very high maintenance. Tell her that Aurora was sleeping and that’s why she was not in the parade.

My point was she wanted to see Aurora sleeping during the Sleeping Beauty segment. She even suggested that Phillip kiss Aurora and awaken her at the end of the parade. She’s just especially sensitive about Aurora because she’s her favorite and, according to her, she gets the least attention out of all the princesses.

GREAT photo of Tinkerbell. Very un-Disney! LOL

Also I’m digging the Dopey on piggyback character!

i’m surprised steve didn’t mention that the princess unit and pinocchio unit are not new. they’re taken from tokyo disneyland’s jubilation parade, which debuted in 2008. they’ve been modified a bit. also, there were a few more moving parts in their original state, plus some different disney characters were used.

The Prince Phillip they got in this is pretty cute. I wish he was my boyfriend.

Awesome! The music will have melodies from Frozen!! So excited! So I’m guessing: once those changes are made, will the soundtrack be released afterwards?

I feel like Snow White and The Dwarfs should have gotten their own float. Their new ride just came out and I feel it defiantly would have been a cool float. Plus this was supposed to be about New Fantasyland and Pinnochio doesn’t even have a ride. It would have been cooler to have an original float centered around The Dwarfs and Snow White, Rather than one that’s just a copy from another parade.
