    The only shamu Christmas miracle would be to release the whales they so cruelly jail in concrete pools into sea pens. How educated are the kids who excitedly bustle in to Seaworld each day on how it’s animals are captured from the wild, ripped from their families and forced to perform circus tricks for the public. If they were human we would call it torture and anyone who is aware of the treatment of killer whales in captivity and the psychological and physical damage it does to them should be ashamed of themselves for giving money to an organisation who has zero regard for the health of animals and the safety of their trainers. I guarantee if you know all of this and still make that trip to Seaworld you will find it to be a harrowing experience

      Didn’t take long for a blackfish ‘sheep’ to jump on their soap box! Shame they are just spouting the party line from blackfish rubbish and haven’t had the sense or capacity to look and examine the wider picture!
      Do you visit Disney? the same could be said for the animals at Animal Kingdom and the Dolphins in EPCOT. Those dolphins are kept in much smaller tanks than the ones at sea world. I don’t think they even get natural daylight.
      Did you know Disney also dressed one of them up as a Robot just to entertain the crowd, it was called ‘DRU 1’.
      It wouldn’t surprise me if you were one of the ones that are happy to turn a blind eye when it comes to Disney just because Disney suits you and sea world doesn’t.

      Great post Ciara, I agree with you. Thanks for standing up to Sea World.

    @Susan,

    The DRU 1 was not a real dolphin, it was an audio-animatronic dolphin.

  3. Orlando has unveiled another year of Christmas cheer as their holiday celebration drapes the entire theme park with countless colorful lights and enough lively entertainment to fill each evening with festive fun.
