Museum of the Weird to be unveiled in Marvel’s ‘Disney Kingdoms: Seekers of the Weird’ #2 with Imagineer variant cover

Marvel has offered up a first look at the covers for the second issue of their upcoming comic series, Disney Kingdoms: Seekers of the Weird.

Disney Kingdoms: Seekers of the Weird #2 (of 5) will include a look at the never-built Museum of the Weird, designed by famous Walt Disney Imagineer Rolly Crump. Each issue also features a variant cover by Imagineer Brian Crosby. The standard cover for issue 2 is by Mike del Mundo, written by Brandon Seifert, with artist Karl Moline.

The story:
With their parents kidnapped, teens Maxwell and Melody leap into a thrilling race through the world’s most strange—and dangerous—museum. What lurks within the Wardens’ Library… and what is the Walking Chair? Who is the Shadow Society… and what do they want with the Coffin Clock?

Issue #1 will be released in January 2014, also with variant cover art from Brian Crosby:

Disney Kingdoms: Seekers of the Weird is priced at $3.99 for 32 pages of entertainment. It’s the first in what ultimately will become a line of Disney-Marvel comics based on theme park concepts.
